Dear future Goers,
You are about to embark on quite the adventure. You may "know" what you're getting into - teaching English, running a business, or working with a church - but you won't really know what you're getting into until you get there.
Some of you may fall in love with your work or your host culture. Others of you may struggle to love it. You may feel lonely, outcast, and confused, but that's okay. Wherever you land on the spectrum, your journey is your journey and no one else's. As hard as it may be at times, cherish every moment and make the most of what you've been given. Don't take anything for granted. Choose joy every day, especially when things get hard. Remember that the greatest growth comes from the greatest hardships.
I'm proud of the decision you've made to spend these two years abroad. Your family is proud of you, your friends are proud of you, and your Father is proud of you. Brace yourself for what's to come - it's going to be a wild ride!
