Dear Reader,
After a year and nine months in the Middle East I have decided to return west. It has not been an easy decision to finish early leaving friends and projects but the wear and tear of being a foreigner in a distant land, far from family and the things I know has caught up to me.
I will be leaving tomorrow, the 2nd of July, to visit my sister and her family and hope to be back in the U.S. by September. Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support throughout this journey. I could never have made it to this point without your encouragement and intercession. I do ask that you continue to pray for me, my team and our local friends in this time of transition.
This past month has brought to a head many of my frustrations with being a foreigner in this land but God has blessed me with goodbyes that beyond putting me at a loss for words have brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. As a final joy I leave you with the news that a couple of days ago we were able to gather as a team with our dear brother M to celebrate his b.pt.sm. It has been a blessing of blessings to walk with my brother during this time and I look forward to continued walking with him, though it be many miles away. In the end physical distance may separate us but the love of Christ brings us into the unity of family.
As always, may God continue to bless you and me with His peace and joy,
Fabian Aguirre
P.S. This song is playing on repeat. (Ignore the cheesy video)
