I came to GoWeek in Pittsburg directly from my internship at Tillers International. After 6 months living and working on the farm, it was a small culture shock coming into the city. It was amazing to see all the people that God brought here. I saw my own story in many different forms. Young people many who were not expecting it, called to Go, and responding in faith. Someone told us that we need to call out, "Ready, FIRE!, Aim." and that is exactly what we are doing.
The task set before us of raising funds seemed insurmountable to me yesterday. How am I supposed to talk to all those people and to get all that money? A fellow goer reminded me in a prayer this morning of Elisha's prophet who at first was blind to the army of angels about him (2Kings 6:17.) My prayer is that God will open my eyes and keep them open during this ministry of fundraising.
God will do it. Look! I am even blogging. His miracles are innumerable.
I am excited to see the way that God will provide in this. I am excited for the people that he will bring onto my support team. "Isn't it a shame that we only embark on the tasks that we can accomplish on our own?" (~Someone I don't remember)
