So it's now 3 AM and no matter what I've tried I can't sleep. I'm supposed to leave my home in an hour to catch my flight to Nicaragua. I don't know what's keeping me awake more, the gears in my head they keep turning or the pounding in my heart. I've come a long waymto get to this point. It's been almost a year since I applied for this position and about six months since orientation. The past six months have been a amazing period of support raising, training, and traveling. Hindsight, the 'scary' support raising experience is just sitting down with cool people and having enough faith that God will provide. That being said, to all of you who are reading this 1. I think you are cool 2. You are a answered prayer.
So now it begins. Learning Spanish, teaching English, helping Betos Coffee Company to take off, potentially acting as a vet for our sick chickens (lol). What could go wrong! Well as many of you have cautiously reminded me there is quite a list of potential tragedies, including, but not limited to: the Zika virus, volcano eruption, countrywide toilet paper shortage, etc... But hey I'm sure it'll be fine because I'm a invincible 22-year-old who knows everything (just ask my parents). The reality is, I'm so interested to look back on this day two years from now and see all that God has taught me.
P.S. You can help us get Betos Coffee Company to take off watching this awesome video, getting yourself some awesome gear, or sharing this link with your awesome friends! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1094255186/transformative-coffee-apparel-and-decor-all-things
