Thankful

Posted on Tuesday, July 21, 2015

This week I was at training with ReachGlobal and I felt really encouraged by it. I really am grateful for the people that work there and got to be a part of the week in one way or another. There were tons of laughs, even some laughs that turned into tears (because we were laughing so hard). There were lessons to be learned, and trips to the Mall of America to be had. It was an overall, good time.

One of my favorite parts of the week was our group's trip to Sonic and the conversations that took place there. The topic was brought up about the power of our words from the Psalms. When we consistently speak negatively about things, the situations end up going in that direction. Our words reveal that we are doubting that the Lord can do certain things, including the ability to support raise. I felt convicted by this. Before coming to training, I was discouraged and had struggled with doubt. However, the Lord showed me, Jeremiah 32 and 33 talks about how there is nothing that the Lord can't do. I especially love how Jeremiah tells God that there is nothing He can't do and the Lord goes onto repeat him by saying that He is the Lord and that there isn't anything He can't do! It's like the Lord was saying to Jeremiah "Yep, you got it, there's nothing I can't do!" It makes me laugh a little bit, but reminds me of the Lord's faithfulness. The passage also reminds me of the verse Philippians 4:13 that says that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! These verses gave me such peace and hope, remembering that the Lord will continue to walk with me through this and that this support raising time is not hard at all for the Lord! He's got this!

So, this morning, as I sip on my hot mango tea and write this post (ok, you caught me, I posted this a few days after writing it), I'm thankful. I'm thankful for the week I've had. I'm thankful for the friends I've made and the friendships that have continued. I'm thankful for the topics and lessons I've learned. I'm thankful for the laughs. I'm thankful for the opportunity to ride on a plane. I'm thankful for the people who have supported and encouraged me so far and also to come. I'm thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord. I'm thankful for the people at ReachGlobal. I'm thankful for another year on planet Earth (I turned another year older this past week). I'm thankful for what the Lord is going to do within these next two years. I'm thankful for the Lord's past, present, and future provision. I'm just thankful!

Praise Him from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
