It feels weird to be writing again because it doesn't feel like any time has passed since I last wrote. Although January came and went so so quickly so much has happened. As the rains have come and are turning everything green and beautiful, making the crops grow, my relationships with the refugees and Malawians are growing as well. I'm getting to know and hear more stories of the people here and it is so beautiful and humbling. I have been going out to a few different villages to build relationships with their preschool teachers and have built upon relationships with the Sunday school teachers in the camp that started a few weeks after I first got here.
With the rains as well though has come a new level of culture shock I haven't much experienced before. I find myself wanting to crawl up with a book and not leave the house. On a rainy day as well, there is not much better. I have been rather exhausted, mentally and physically. Being introverted as well does not help with the exhaustion, being with people a lot of the time. Even when I spend time alone to rest and rejuvenate, it seems to leave me rather quickly.
As you can tell, this month has been so good and so hard all at the same time. It has brought many new relationships and experiences, along with a deeper love and passion for where I am. It has also caused me to be pushed way out of my comfort zone and figuring out life here has made me feel about every emotion possible. But God continues to reveal Himself and continues to show up when I had no idea what to do or say next. And He always well. I am I am so thankful for where He has me and what He is teaching me, through the good and the hard.
