Summer calls for sweet because its a time to raise a team that is going to be the Galatians 6:6-10 for me and for 21 other post college students going all over the world.
"6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do goodto all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." (Gal)
My vision is not only to be supported to do ministry full time on the college campus but also to encourage those who are supporting my by reminding them of the work the Lord is doing all over the world . He is changing lives in the Middle East and if we aren't reminded how big our God is then we forget to act like He is.
Summer is also sweet because its full of so many things we love, bonfires, eating on the patio, popsicles, iced beverages, s'mores, playing outside, being in the water but most of all enjoying friends and thats what I hope this summer is for us going to say goodbye in three months. Most of the 22 of us are going to say goodbye to loved ones for 2 years in pursuit of growing in our own relationship with Christ and being obedient to the call to go and tell the nations about the Good News in Jesus.
My prayer is that this summer I would be able to connect and reconnect to make memories that will fuel the fire as I fly over the ocean to begin an adventure of a lifetime pursual of more Joy and a growing Kingdom.
