Arriving and Much More

Posted on Tuesday, December 30, 2014

So much has already happened in my 5 days here in C, it's hard to know where to begin. Before I left my greatest source of anxiety was the traveling, flying has always caused me a lot of pain due to pressure change when the plane is landing and this journey required 4 flights. That and not being sure if my bags would make it here were probably the biggest concerns I've had through this entire process. I'm ecstatic to say that all my bags made it and I had NO pain flying...like ZERO, NADA, ZILCH, LING. Thank you everyone praying for my safe and pain free travel! Once I got here I pretty much hit the ground running, at least that is what it has felt like trying to take in all the new things, adjust to time difference and still go about the day being productive and doing fun things. Just livin the life! I've done my best to take pictures to chronicle this past week but honestly it is a little hard to remember to take pictures when I am trying to see everything myself, not get lost on the subway or get hit by a car.

My bike! We had a brief yet eventful time together. my second day here we bought my bike, the man at the store even threw in my basket and bike lock for free! On Wednesday my bike became someone else's after it was taken from the subway station. For the next few days I rode on the back of my roomate belle's bike. Two people on one bike is probably the funniest/scariest thing ever. Me and Belle like to call it team building haha!
