I'm moving from Texas to Asia in the fall and I'm so stoked about it! There is so much to be done but already so much to look back on and be thankful for! I've had the opportunity to watch God work in my life over the last few years in ways that have accumulated and landed me here, in a room full of Go staff and other Goers, that in a short time, have made a permanent place in my heart.
So a bit about me....I'm from a small west Texas town and was saved when I was 14 in November 2004 . I graduated high school in 2008 and after that I was a bit of a rolling stone through my college career. I spent my freshman year at Texas Tech University dancing on the 2008-2009 TTU pom squad. I went home the following year and spent 2 years studying Kinesiology at The University of Texas & the Permian Basin, also teaching dance at local studios and high schools. These were the years I fell in love with learning, nutrition, and teaching. I also had this yearning to get out of Texas, so during what would have been my senior year of college, I moved across the country to Los Angeles, California to pursue dance at a professional training facility. My time in Cali taught me that I could be away from my family for a long period of time. Being there was a catalyst for me to realize I felt called to return to school, so I completed my degree of Kinesiology, Science, Health and Wellness. On the campus of UT Arlington, my heart for missions fit right in with campus ministries that provided me with the resources and fellowship that ultimately led me to GoCorps, and now I will be able to use my degree and life expeience to live missionaly overseas! I can't wait to share this journey with y'all!
