This past year I was able to meet a family that had moved to Berlin for work. I am enjoying getting to know them, sharing in the common struggles of cross cultural living, and getting to explore hole in the wall restaurants! One of the things that they have inspired me to do is select a theme verse for the year. I have never done this, but I also felt like it was something that God was pulling me to- to have a piece of scripture that I could hold on to whenever I need to be reminded of God's faithfulness and promises.
I thought that I had just stumbled upon reading this- but I know that it was God leading me.
"The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail." Isaiah 58:11
I really feel like this is exactly what I need. I need to be satisfied in parched places. Stronger bones when I am weak. Life giving water that doesn't fail.
