The other weekend I was privileged to travel to Bucharest for conference regarding Anti-Trafficking. First, let me state how happy I am that my organization and team value continued education. Second, God used this conference to reignite my passion for this issue. It was great being in a room with other people working in this area of justice and to hear their stories. It was also great to have them reaffirm me and my calling after I shared my story.
We spent the day talking about issues regarding trafficking and how we can be most effective. As we talked I was reminded about how much I do know regarding Anti-Trafficking work (don’t get me wrong, I still have a TON to learn though). I walked away from the conference knowing that I am in the line of work God has called me to. I also walked away with a ton of new thoughts and ideas and dreams! God has big plans and I’m excited to be an instrument in them.
*Fun fact! Romania is known for vampires, to kill a vampire you impale it through the heart with a stake. The image above is the symbol for communism (the round thing) being impaled! Those Romanians have quite the sense of humor!
