Howdy!
Thanks for reading the first blog post I have ever written! I knew that in moving to a foreign country and going through the process of getting there I would have to adapt to new things. The funny thing is that so far the thing that's taking me the farthest outside of my comfort zone is writing a regular blog that anyone can see. Don't get me wrong, I love sharing what God is doing in my life with those I’m close to but I have never been comfortable putting personal information online. So... here goes!
First, let me tell you a little about myself. For security reasons for the next two years my name is Brad. I graduated from Texas A&M University a few years ago and since then I've been working for the transportation department of the local school district. I've been really involved in my church here doing college student and international student ministry. Throughout all this time I’ve been pursuing the passion that God has put on my heart: to see His love and truth brought to the people of Western and Central Asia.
Now after 8ish years of working towards this goal God has opened the door for me to go! Starting this fall I’ll be living in the Middle East for two years and serving refugees from all over that region. I can’t explain to you how excited I am about going. It’s crazy that God wants to use me in this way for His kingdom! Now I get to start the exciting journey of telling people about where God is taking me and asking them to partner with me in this!
Please be praying for me during this summer of support raising:
- That I would be bold with the opportunities God gives me. Both in asking for support and in using these meetings as an opportunity to share who Christ truly is.
- For provision during the summer.
- That I’d get good times alone with Jesus.
