Early last week I was starting to get frustrated because I had no idea what to do for my visa platform after my student visa expires in April. Here, obtaining a visa can be a very long and stressful process so that only added to my frustration.
Earlier this week one of my teammates and I decided we would go speak with the Vice President of the university to ask for his opinion. I explained to him I was interested in teaching an English Pronunciation class, but had yet to find an institution that was willing to accept my proposal. Without a moments hesitation, he suggested I write an official proposal and cover letter which he would personally hand over to the University’s President.
When I got home I talked to my home owner, who also works for this VP and the langauge center I’ve been attending. She was very excited about this meeting and explained that next week the language center is having a meeting to discuss future classes, including a class in pronunciation!She also explained that as soon as I wrote my proposal she would begin my visa letters. Yes, my home owner’s third job is to write letters for foreigners who want to come here!
So what does this mean?
1. My teammate, will also be working at the langauge center teaching Mandarin!
2. My will be receiving a work visa, which will enable me to stay in SEA one more year!
3. I get to work at the language center where some of my closest relationships have been
built!
4. Once again God has proven that his plan, purpose, and timing far exceed anything I
could every imagine!!
