A lot of "see ya laters" were said in the past week. Even though I didn't cry in anyone's presence while saying good-byes, the tears began to flow in car rides and boarding the plane. From the depths of my heart I want to say thank-you and that I appreciate all of you! Words cannot express my thankfulness and the encouragement that you give me, to keep doing what I’m doing! A little less than a week ago, I was boarding a plane and saying good-bye to my family. It was a very hard thing to do, but I was reminded of what this would’ve been like for the disciples following Jesus. They didn’t have technology to give them a touch of home or keep them connected. But their zeal for the Lord was so intense that they made the choice to literally follow Jesus wherever He went, to live for Him!
Yesterday I went to a holy city that lies on a river coming down from the Himalayas. We toured around the city and I got to talk and pray with some people there. There are a couple major things that I’ve learned about this culture as we toured yesterday. South Asia is a place where people are very spiritually seeking, and the people LOVE to hear stories. As we told a group of women a story, more people came up, and then more people came up! I’m inspired to always being prepared to tell the story to those seeking, the story that I know and love, and the story that is life changing and full of hope. This is the main point; we need to always be ready to tell the stories of Jesus or our stories of how Jesus changed our lives, to anyone who is seeking and eager to listen. Sowing the seed, makes a difference!
Thank you for your prayers. Please pray for quick language learning for our team!
