“In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4
The girl in this photo, does not know the truth of her own word. We asked her, “If you could describe your spiritual journey in one word, what would it be?” Blind. The god of this world has taken a stronghold here and blinded the people of this country to the light of the gospel of Christ. I think about my students that have been hearing the gospel now for almost two years, and I weep over their blindness. Why have they yet to see the truth about Jesus? He is the One True God! He created and saved the world! He is worthy of All glory, and All honor, and All praise! Why do they not see? Pray that their eyes would be open to the truth of the gospel! Pray that they might be saved to the glory of our God.
In these moments I hold to certain truths. God is faithful. His Word will not return empty. He loves these students. He can change their hearts just like he changed mine. My labors, if founded in Him, will not be done in vain. His will is to His glory. There is POWER in the Gospel. Hold fast to these truths with me, weep with me, and hope with me that some will be saved to the glory of Christ.
