You’re not just an intern this summer—you’re a storyteller and a creator! We’re teaming up with you to capture your journey in photos, videos, and stories. This is your chance to build a portfolio, inspire others, and share the GoCorps mission. Let’s make it fun, creative, and unforgettable—here’s how!
Why Capture Your Summer?
- Your Growth: Show what you learn and experience—the highs and lows.
- Your Skills: Build a portfolio with your talents (photos, videos, stories).
- Your Impact: Inspire future interns and supporters with your real story.
Think of this as a partnership: you bring your unique view, and we’ll share it with the world!
Content Ideas to Spark Your Creativity:
Photos:
- “What’s in My Bag?”—Snap your summer essentials and why they matter.
- Day in the Life Photos—Capture packing, traveling, working, reflecting, etc.
- “Travel Tip Tuesday”—Share a travel tip or an experience that’s helping you as you work cross-culturally.
- Capture the Beauty—Show culture, nature, or your work in action.
Videos (Selfie-Style):
- “Where Can Your Feet Go?”—Film your feet in key spots (airports, trails).
- Day in the Life—Record 1-3 minutes of your routine. This could be anything from navigating public transportation to picking up your groceries at a local market.
- One Second a Day—Grab one second daily for an epic montage.
- Share a Story—Tell a quick tale about living one of the 5 Roles of a Goer.
Social Media Fun:
- “Where in the World is Globie Man?”: Take your Globie Man patch on adventures and snap pics. We’ll post your weekly photo and video clues of your location for followers to guess!
Fun Competitions
- Personal Challenge: win a $25 gift card by completing all of the following: all of the photo and social media challenges and 2 or more of the video challenges!
- Group Showdown: Submit your best photos or videos—GoCorps staff will vote. Prize: 3 $50 visa gift cards, 1 for each category! Winners announced at debrief.
