Stories of CO Students Using their Passions as Pathways for the Gospel
Being a Goer usually starts with giving God a 'yes'
Brian was a Business major and Nique was a Psychology and Communications major. Ordinary college students who met and fell in love while living in ministry houses off campus. Now, they're living and working in Nicaragua as Goers, using their degrees alongside coffeeshop business, mentorship and even agricultural job creation efforts!
Shattered glass leads to a gospel opportunity in the Muslim world...
Hannah's CO experience led her to SouthEast Asia as a Goer for two years. Starting with a foundation of love for God and for people, Hannah's been able to form deep cross-cultural relationships. Her passion for loving God and loving people has created pathways for the gospel, even in unexpected ways and times!
Semi-pro baseball in Italy!
Sports can be an amazing bridge builder across cultures as an instant point of connection for young men and women. Aaron was a three sport college athlete who grew to understand the spiritual needs of the unreached globally through CO New Year's Conferences and through his CO leaders. What better way to invest the first two years out of college than joining a mission team in Southern Italy, and joining the local baseball circuit?! But ministry among the unreached is hard and confounding, where we're reminded that it all depends on God.
A journey of conversion to God's global purpose through Campus Outreach and GoCorps
Kendra was a student at the University of Alabama - Birmingham studying Nursing Administration when God began her journey to Central Asia.
"We have partnered with GoCorps for several years now and take great delight in working together! Our graduates who have served with GoCorps are able to blend their college degree and passion for the lost world, such as a unique opportunity that every college student should consider!"
-Tyler Rollason, Mobilization Director
A New Way to Look at Your First Years After College
GoCorps helps Christian young adults tithe their time and talents by using their degree in two-year global placements serving with long-term missions teams and projects. Those that tithe their career, we call them Goers, serve in places with limited gospel witness and follow Christ’s example of living incarnationally, ministering as a learner, servant, friend, story-teller and worshiper.
Learn about the TYC Movement
“Campus Outreach and GoCorps are partners because we share similar DNA: God has called us both to prioritize finding strategic ways for students to go to unreached peoples and live incarnationally. GoCorps loves helping CO students lean into their degrees and do our two-year placements as a first step in gaining experience and growth in their career!”
- Paul Van Der Werf, Founder, GoCorps
