University Outreach

Only 1% of the world will graduate from college. In every country in the world, there are university campuses filled with students who are searching for truth. These students are the leaders and influencers of tomorrow.  As a university outreach Goer, you will be able to help the future leaders of the world find the Truth that their hearts long for.

The focus of the University track is evangelism and discipleship with opportunities for language learning, ministry training and personal development. By serving in this track, you will probably be helping college students with their English studies, either formally or informally, while you work to learn their heart language, either formally or informally. Your primary ministry focus will be the college students on a nearby university campus.

Campus Outreach Worker

Mexico City is the largest city in Latin America, with approximately 21.2 million people in the entire metropolitan area. Mexico City is also the home to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the largest university in Latin America. This university serves a little over 187,000 students. The UNAM has produced many influential leaders for Mexico, Latin America and beyond. Accordingly, the campus is an important and strategic location for ministry outreach.

Making Disciples on University Campuses

China is the most populous country in the world. This team serves a city of over 8 million people, including 200,000 university students. For these students, their time spent at the university is a ripe harvest. University is the time when they have the most freedom to think about important life questions and when they are most likely to hear the gospel. In addition, the future leaders of society study at these universities, making this field one of the most strategic places for Gospel workers.

University Outreach Coordinator

The team in Ukraine is involved in a community transformation project where no one is invisible and everyone has access to food, freedom and forgiveness. An alliance of 33 local churches and Christian organizations has formed to focus on four main groups - university students, orphans, Roma people, and victims of war. Goers in this position will serve mainly with the University Student Outreach team, but may also participate in the ministries of the other groups as time permits.

Urban Campus Community Engagement

Thailand is affectionately known as the land of smiles. The population of Bangkok is anywhere from 9 million to 14 million on a daily basis and this urban center is the influencing force for education, economy and culture. At the same time, it is a city known for brokenness. Large concentrations of men and women are exploited for the sex industry. Impoverished families are stuck fighting for survival each day. The desire for money, power, and status keep many dissatisfied.  While the gospel came to Thailand over 180 years ago, the country is still less than 1% evangelical.
