Compassion - Justice

There are people all over the world that are dying unjustly. In some countries in Africa, over 35% of the population has AIDS or HIV. On streets in cities all across the globe thousands of children are at risk, roaming the streets and are abused and neglected. Human trafficking and slavery is more common today than during the civil war and millions are refugees, without home and without a country. Does God have a plan to reach these people? Does God have a plan to bring Hope to the hopeless? You bet he does. You are his plan. Being a Goer through the compassion and justice track will give you the opportunity to invest a season of your life on the front lines of these issues, actually being Christ’s hands and feet to those in the world who need to feel Christ’s touch most.

Caring for Orphans

This team serves in a city in China of 8 million people. China's one-child policy, the pressure to provide for his/her parents in their old age, and a worldview that doesn't see every life as valuable has led to an orphan crisis, especially for those born with special needs. Furthermore, families that do keep their children with disabilities have very little services to care for and assist them.

Croatia is one of the most beautiful places in all of Europe. Tourists come from all over the world to experience the Croatian coast. However, what most of these tourists never experience is the reality of the brutal lifestyle Roma (Gypsies) experience in Croatia. The Roma people are considered the least, the lost. They are the most discriminated and forgotten people group in all of Europe. They are uneducated, unemployable, and considered by most to be the scum of the world.

Islamic Outreach & Community Service

Daily headlines cover the immigration of Muslims to Europe, and it is on the forefront of European politics and society. Huge numbers of Muslim immigrants now call the capital cities of Europe home, and Berlin is no exception. They face the challenges of forging a new start for their families in the midst of resistance and fear from many European-born citizens. Immigrants from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds are the front lines of justice and peace in Europe.

Middle Eastern Refugee and Arab Outreach

This tiny speck of a country packs a big punch. What it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in beauty, especially geological oddities. Although this region is one of the hottest, most barren areas of the world, few countries offer such unusual landscapes – think salt lakes, extinct volcanoes, sunken plains, limestone chimneys, basaltic plateaus and majestic canyons. Outside of the capital city, the country is refreshingly devoid of large-scale development. Goers who love outdoor adventure will find plentiful options for superb hiking, diving, kite-surfing, and snorkeling.

Pilgrim Care Coordinator

Santiago de Compostela is home to the Camino de Santiago, a collection of pilgrimage trails where the world converges to reflect on spirituality, seek God, and search for the meaning of life. The Camino brings together travelers of all ages, nationalities, and world views from 150+ different countries. Most pilgrims walk between 5 and 35 days to reach Santiago. The reasons pilgrims walk are as diverse as the pilgrims themselves, yet there is a common theme: 95% of pilgrims report walking the Camino for spiritual reasons.

Refugee Advocate

As the heart of this Northeast African nation, the city in which this placement is located is a vibrant, exhilarating, exotic, fascinating and welcoming place. In this home to some of the most ancient civilizations in the world, incredible, half-forgotten monuments are easy to stumble across. One force has shaped this city and nation more than anything else in the last thousand years - the religion of Islam. As the cries for change have echoed across the Arab world, the discontent lying under the surface has become clear.
