Mexico City is the largest city in Latin America, with approximately 21.2 million people in the entire metropolitan area. Accordingly, Mexico City is an important and strategic location for ministry outreach through relational development.
This Goer will work with several different ministries doing sports outreach to serve the community and connect with locals from a variety of different ages and backgrounds. Whether they’re leading sports clubs on a university campus or teaching aerobics classes in a community center, this Goer will have the chance to build relationships with the kids, youth, and adults who participate in their ministries, while at the same time offering quality opportunities for people to improve their health, enjoy exercising, or just spend time being active with other people. They will also live with a Mexican family and work with a local Mexican church. Trainings outside of ministry will occur every week where our Goers take Spanish classes, participate in workshops with their cohort, and learn practical ministry tools to better equip them for their ministry settings.
