With over 21 million people, Mexico City is one of the largest cities in the world. Similar to other leading international cities, it is an increasingly secular, post-Christian city. Only two percent of the population is actively involved in evangelical churches. Accordingly, Mexico City is an important and strategic location for ministry outreach and mobilization efforts.
BridgeWay Mexico (www.bridgewaymexico.com(link is external)) is a new international, Christian school near the university area of Coyoacan, Mexico City. It is a partnership that unites Mexico, Canada, and the United States that seeks to love and educate children, pointing them to Christ. The project is outreach-oriented, seeking to draw a wide variety of students, Christian and non-Christian, and including both Mexicans and expatriates.
Goers can serve in full-time roles for pre-school and/or for grade levels K-6, teaching a wide range of subjects in English, as would be typical in an American or Canadian classroom. Goers will also live with a Mexican family, work with a local Mexican church, take Spanish classes, and grow in language, culture and ministry skills in this unique immersive experience. - Teaching credentials or teaching experience, though exceptions will be considered.
- A contagious Christian faith.
- A genuine love for children.
