Mexico City is the largest city in Latin America, with approximately 21.2 million people in the entire metropolitan area. Accordingly, Mexico City is an important and strategic location for ministry outreach and church planting.
Corazón Valiente works to reach many of the families of artisan vendors in the Coyoacán area, many of whom are parts of indigenous communities. Corazón Valiente has many outreach opportunities to serve this community, but the main outreach that our Goers support is an after-school program for these children, who might need extra help with school studies, (literacy, for example, especially growing up speaking their native languages in their homes and learning Spanish in school) or just a chance to be a kid, play games, and have the loving support of adult, Christian role models.
Goers will also live with a Mexican family and work with a local Mexican church. Training outside of ministry will occur every week where our Goers take Spanish classes, participate in workshops with their cohort, and learn practical ministry tools to better equip them for their ministry settings.
