Coordinator for Campus Engagement & Outreach

Mexico City is the largest city in Latin America, with approximately 21.2 million people in the entire metropolitan area. Mexico City is also the home to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the largest university in Latin America. This university serves a little over 342,542 students. The UNAM has produced many influential leaders for Mexico, Latin America, and beyond. Accordingly, the campus is an important and strategic location for ministry outreach. Ciudad Universitaria (CU), UNAM’s main campus, is a city in and of itself. The opportunities to engage with the community and partner with local ministries on campus are abundant.

Goers will work in a seasoned ministry in the heart of the university campus with a clear strategy for outreach. Opportunities for this ministry include English conversation clubs, Bible Studies, camp retreats, and relational outreach to students. Goers will join with Mexicans in ministry both in English and Spanish, befriending and reaching university students for Christ. The Coordinator for Campus Engagement and Outreach will learn under local leadership and then work autonomously in areas to cultivate community, activities, and outreach.

They will also live with a Mexican family and work with a local Mexican church. Training outside of ministry will occur every week where our Goers take Spanish classes, participate in workshops with their cohort, and learn practical ministry tools to better equip them for their ministry settings.
