Mexico City is the largest city in Latin America, with approximately 21.2 million people in the entire metropolitan area. Mexico City is also the home to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the largest university in Latin America. This university serves a little over 187,000 students. The UNAM has produced many influential leaders for Mexico, Latin America and beyond. Accordingly, the campus is an important and strategic location for ministry outreach.
Goers will work in a seasoned ministry in the heart of the university campus with a clear strategy for outreach. Opportunities for ministry include English conversation clubs, Bible Studies and relational outreach to students. Goers will join with Mexicans in ministry both in English and Spanish in befriending and reaching university students for Christ. They will also live with a Mexican family, work with a local Mexican church, take Spanish classes, and grow in language, culture and ministry skills as part of the team‰ŰŞs mission‰ŰŞs immersion program.
- Desire to accompany others in finding and growing in Christ.
- Good interpersonal skills for relationship building.
- ESL certification helpful, but not required.
- College studies helpful.
