Do you have a heart for Latin America? Are you interested in church planting? Join our team in one of two locations, depending on your launch cycle.
Five young adults from North America, called "40/40 Church Planters," will be paired up with five young adults 40/40s from South America to form a multicultural team. The 40/40s will serve alongside a North American married couple (Team Support Couple) and a South American Pastoral couple. Goers who serve as 40/40s on this team will go through 4.5 months of intensive Spanish language school and missionary training in Quito, Ecuador. After completing training, they are all sent together to their service city of Cartagena, Colombia to begin forming relationships through street evangelism, evangelism events, and service projects in order to reach the lost in the city and form home bible study groups called Casas de Oracion. Those Casas de Oracion become the lifeblood of the church and begin to multiply throughout the city as the church grows and the lost are reached.
40/40's will also take on church ministry and leadership roles, such as worship, youth, children, media, discipleship, outreach, etc. 40/40's will work themselves out of a job by discipling people into the ministries that they're leading and leaving behind disciples who are trained to make disciples.
Goers on the Fall track will serve in Cartagena, Colombia. Cartagena is a coastal town on the beach of Colombia with a population of about 1 million people. The needs in this city are vast, with very high rates of poverty, domestic violence, children outside of wedlock, and drug/alcohol abuse. We believe that the hope of Jesus brings people into freedom from sin, so our vision is to plant a thriving church and make disciples who make disciples.
Goers on the Winter track will serve in Brazil. Brazil is the largest country in both South America and all of Latin America. The country makes up almost half of the South American continent and is home to many people who are in need of the hope and redemption found in Christ. Our vision is to plant a thriving church and make disciples who make disciples.
Passion for Jesus, Love for the lost, willingness to learn, team player, submission to leadership, and a hard worker.
