Hullo, I am Edda! I am a Third Culture Kid (TCK). I was born in West Africa, lived in East Africa as an MK, but my family is from Colorado where I finished high school and attended University. I have always wanted to serve overseas. My life is a testament to the grace of God and His sacrificial love for me. We were charged by the Lord Jesus to “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation," Mark 16:15. It is my desire that the whole world recognise the Triune God as not only the ruler and judge of all, but as a gentle and loving father who is the source of true peace and hope. He took away our guilt and made us innocent, He raised us from a place of shame to a place of honour, and He banished our fear and by His power, we can withstand the evil one.

I pride myself on being capable and getting things done for myself. Maybe it is because I am stubborn or just fiercely independent but asking for and receiving help does not come easy to me. One can imagine then that the idea of support raising was not at all appealing to me. I am here. Suddenly, I don't feel so alone. The reassurance seeps through my entire body and I breathe a sigh of relief. The Lord called me here, He wants me here, and by His strength, I can do this.
