Update:

     Hello again amazing home team!

I am so grateful for the faithfulness of God this month! He is so true and so good. I have officially started my language courses and by the grace of God I am able to be progressing quite rapidly. I am really enjoying the process! I have also been able to continue making connections and learning more about Hungarian Culture. I am particularly excited about a friendship with a Hungarian man named Gábor. He is an incredible jazz keyboard player who is VERY interested in becoming more fluent in English. I was responsible for running sound at his concert and he was very pleased! Praise God! We are connected on Facebook and he mentioned that we might be able to meet a few times a month. We made a “deal”; if I help him with English, he’ll help me with Hungarian, give me some keyboard tips, and he even invited me to the recording studio he frequents. This could totally lead to me being accepted more deeply in the Hungarian music community. I am so excited for what God will do with these relationships and connections.

This last week I took another friend of mine out for lunch. I have known him since 2014 and our conversation went really well! He is asking so many questions and is very curious! Please pray for him that the Holy Spirit would be working on his heart!

This last week was very busy because Brian and Mystelle were both here! We had a small but very enjoyable concert and I was even able to sing and play a little which was a huge blessing! I sang on of my all time favorites, “If I Stand” by Rich Mullens and I have been praying ever since that He would provide me more opportunities to sing and play music.

A number of the city team members were able to get together at Mark and Jodi Revell’s home for Thanksgiving and it was amazing! It was an amazing reminder of home in many ways and I was blessed by the opportunity to spend the Holiday with a family in a Home. It reminded me of the enjoyable times spent with my own family.

This month I was able to officially join the worship team at Agora Corvin! I am so excited that God is already moving me in the direction of being able to help serve and be apart of the life and fellowship there. So far I will only be running sound until I have a better foundation for the Hungarian worship songs, but it is genuinely encouraging to be given that opportunity.

Keep praying for clarity! I am now at a point where I need to be careful with how I spend my time. I could potentially fill every moment of every day, after Hungarian Class, with meetings. I want to be wise and careful with where I am spending my time because I know that God intends for me to share his good news with as many people as I possibly can. Pray for discernment. I feel strongly convicted that often the people most in need, are the ones I desire to meet with the least. As is the natural tendancy I am drawn to the people that I enjoy spending time with more. However, I’m praying that God would clear my selfish motives out of the way and be able to discern which soil is good soil and which souls He wants me to pour into!

Keep Praying for those who I have been sharing Christ with.  Also please pray for the many believers who have been enduring tough times. Each of them are going through some very difficult and challenging trials!

I cannot express with words, the joy and privilege that it is to be here serving the people of Hungary!
