You can help us build the GoCorps vision and movement by volunteering with us. Volunteer staff are those that dedicate a regular number of hours a month or those that take on a specific project(s).
Requirements of Volunteer staff:
- Competency and experience in their area of focus
- Dependability and ability to dedicate regular and ongoing time
- Ability to work in a virtual team context
Perks of being a Volunteer staff:
- Invited to participate in our weekly staff conference calls (very interesting stuff!)
- Invited to attend our staff trainings and retreats (very fun and refreshing!)
- A free GoCorps t-shirt (which we expect you'll wear on a weekly basis!)
Some of our volunteers are GoCorps alumni, and many are simply individuals who have offered to dedicate some of their free time to the cause of growing the mid-term mission movement nationally. Here are some ways you could join our team as a volunteer:
Promote GoCorps in your church or in a campus in your area.
Help us by doing online and phone call research regarding various special projects related to mid-term mission involvement on campuses and in ministries in North America.
Going after our big vision requires some major funding. Help us to communicate our vision and needs with the foundations that could fund our Loan Forgiveness program and other GoCorps special projects.
Do you enjoy Facebook, Twitter and keeping up with blogs? You can help us get the word out about GoCorps opportunities and stories from our current goers. We’d need you to be regularly checking our goers blogs and creatively and consistently getting the word out to those that are following GoCorps.
Event Planning and Coordination
Help us to plan vision fundraising dinners or help us to pull of our two main annual GoCorps gatherings: GoWeek in May and the GoCorps Summit in August.
Other ways you can help? Contact us if you have skills in graphic design, video production, web design or administration. We'd love to talk to you to see how you may fit into our growing team! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll set up a time to talk about how your unique gifts, background and availability can help to mobilize goers!
